New & Returning Yarns!
We've added a bunch of new yarns to our shelves and restocked our favorites. Some of the newbies are two beautiful sock yarns and gorgeous vareigated laceweight from Meadowcroft Dyeworks (pictured below), along with solid laceweight from JaggerSpun (1120yds for $19!). We finally have more colors of Bamboo Pop back in stock, our Shibui wall is just as tantalizing as ever, and we still have a a wide variety of cotton-blend sock yarns in case the recent fall-like weather isn't ready to stay just yet.

Fall Knit-Along & Wrap-Up Party!
August 15 - October 14, 2015
Our Fall KAL -- Martina Behm's Fractal Danger scarf/shawlette -- is even more low-key than the Summer KAL was. All you have to do is knit the scarf and bring it to the wrap-up dessert party on Wednesday, October 14 at 5:30pm. Only finished scarves are eligible for prizes.  If you can't be at the party in person, drop off your FO (tagged with your name) at the shop or send it along with a friend and you'll be entered in the drawing. Happy knitting, and if you want, visit our Ravelry group to join the optional discussion thread!

Fall Fiber Retreat
October 23-25, 2015
There are still a few spots available for our first annual Fall Fiber Retreat at McCormick's Creek State Park, and the class schedule has been finalized. Although the block of rooms set aside for us has been released to the public, you can always attend as a day-tripper if the Inn is all booked up. Call the shop or stop in by September 30 to sign up.
Daizie Knits Trunk Show
October 31, 2015; 12:00-2:30pm
Jennifer Daizie Watkins is a self-taught knitter, spinner, and indie dyer. A love of hand-knit socks brought her into the fiber arts world twelve years ago. Spinning fibers and dyeing them seemed the logical step in the fiber arts. The Daizie Knits Etsy shop, which opened in September 2011, offers a range of hand-dyed yarns and fibers. Daizie is currently working her way through the Master Knitter Program. Her patterns can be found on Ravelry.
