Welcome to In A Yarn Basket

Classes and events may need to be postponed or rescheduled if we can't get to the shop due to inclement weather or poor road conditions. If the Monroe Community Schools are closed or the weather looks bad, please call (812) 330-5394 to make sure we're open, and be safe out there!

Second Wednesday of each month, January-May 2016

Greetings all!  We have picked our first book: The Shop on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber.

Our book club has no “official” membership and is FREE.  Please join us anytime for one of our book club discussions when the book selection piques your interest. Suggestions for future books are solicited and will be voted on by all. We will strive to choose books that are available in paperback, e-book, or Audible format to help keep costs down (so you can save your money for yarn)!  Don’t forget to check the local library too.

Other advantages: You get to knit during the book club discussion! You’ll meet new friends, knit and chat away…oh, and snack! Feel free to bring goodies to share.

We will discuss The Shop on Blossom Street at our next meeting:  Wednesday, February 10th, 5:30-7:00pm.

Child for All Seasons: Spring Collection Debut!
Join us for a party on Saturday, February 13, 1-3pm! Meet the designers and see samples of the newest patterns!

Over the course of 2015 and 2016, local designers Lisa Ross and Stephanie Lotven are publishing twelve seasonal children's patterns.. Each of four seasonal collections will include a boy's garment, a girl's garment, and an accessory.  The full twelve-pattern Child for All Seasons collection, the seasonal collections, and the individual patterns are available for purchase on Ravelry. Visit the shop to see the Autumn and Winter garments in person, and check out the Child for All Seasons MKAL group on Ravelry.
